Case Study — Office Rebrand

NYC Office Signage Rebrand: How We Transformed a Manhattan Workspace from Blank to Branded

When One Search, a Manhattan-based company, reached out to Street Style Sign Studio, the initial request was straightforward: add privacy film to a glass conference room. By the end of the first walkthrough, the scope had expanded into a complete office signage package, frosted glass vinyl, dimensional acrylic lettering, a custom vinyl tribute, and branded door signs across the entire space. This is what that project looked like, one of several real client projects documented in our signage case studies.

The Challenge

Function, Story, and Cohesion in One Scope

The One Search founder had a clear vision, even if the brief started small. He wanted the space to feel personal and professional at the same time — a reflection of his background, the company he built, and a tribute to his late co-founder and best friend. The challenge was translating that into physical materials that would hold up in a working office, satisfy building management requirements, and create a cohesive visual experience from the front door to the back hallway.

The space itself was clean and modern but lacked identity. The signage needed to add character without cluttering — a balance that requires experienced design judgment and material precision. See more of our office signage NYC work.

Our Approach

Our process for office rebrands starts with the brief, not the materials catalog. We listened to the founder’s vision, mapped out which surfaces could carry his story most effectively, and then selected the sign types accordingly. The result was a layered scope that felt unified because every decision traced back to the same source.

Our Approach: Build Around the Story, Then Select the Materials

Four sign types, one visual language — every piece traces back to the same brief.

01

Frosted Glass Vinyl — Conference Room Privacy Film

Privacy film for the conference room was the original request — and we delivered it, but with a design that made it a feature. Instead of a standard stripe or gradient, we custom-cut the London skyline — Tower Bridge, Big Ben, the London Eye — into the frosted vinyl. The result adds full privacy to the glass while creating a visual anchor that references the founder’s British roots without announcing them.

Frosted glass vinyl — a translucent, adhesive-backed film applied to glass surfaces to diffuse light and limit sightlines — is one of our most requested products for Manhattan offices. It satisfies both the functional need for privacy and the aesthetic need for something distinctive.

02

Custom Vinyl Silhouette — A Tribute Panel

One of the most meaningful pieces in the project was a memorial to the founder’s late co-founder. He provided a photograph, and we turned it into a detailed vinyl silhouette paired with the London skyline graphic — applied to the exterior face of a glass wall, with frosted vinyl on the reverse to create depth and layering.

The panel doesn’t explain itself. Visitors see a clean, interesting graphic. The client walks past it every day and sees something that matters. That’s the kind of detail that makes a well-designed office feel different from a merely decorated one.

03

Dimensional Acrylic Lettering and Vinyl Wall Art — Reception Area

In the reception area, we installed raised acrylic lettering for the company name alongside layered vinyl graphics on the wall. Dimensional lettering — three-dimensional characters mounted off the wall surface using standoffs or adhesive backing — creates depth, shadow, and a premium first impression that flat vinyl signage cannot replicate. Paired with the wall art, it gave the space a distinct visual moment right at the entrance.

04

Cut Vinyl Door Signs — Consistency Across the Office

Throughout the office, we installed cut vinyl lettering on internal doors using the founder’s chosen font. Clean, modern, consistent. The door labels tied the whole project together — giving the space a unified tone without over-designing any single element.

The Result

An Office That Feels Like It Belongs to the People in It

The final space is sharp, personal, and cohesive. The frosted conference room glass provides privacy while telling a story. The tribute panel is quiet and elegant. The dimensional lettering sets a professional tone at reception. The door signs carry the visual language to every corner of the office.

More importantly, the client felt seen — he got a space that reflected who he is and what he built, using materials that will hold up for years. That’s what a full-scope office signage rebrand looks like when it’s done right.
