Indoor Business Sign for Segment

When creating a marketing strategy, it is important to consider the business’s signage. This is true for all types of signs, from storefront to interior to directional and other types of signage. To help focus on this aspect of marketing, it can be helpful to create a separate sign strategy.

Your signage is one of your most effective marketing tools. It is how customers will identify your business. Signs are incredibly useful as a way to reach local customers.

Increase Awareness

When creating a sign strategy, consider vehicle graphics as an element. In a way, your vehicle acts as a mobile sign or billboard and is able to raise brand awareness and reach out to potential customers who may not otherwise find out about your business.

Consistency is an important aspect of your sign strategy. Being consistent in your tone, messaging, and design of your signs will help to create strong brand recognition and help to increase your brand awareness.

Strengthen Brand Recognition

There can be variation in the signs to an extent, but the branding should be instantly recognizable. Some differences that won’t affect your branding include varying the shape of the sign. For instance, if you have a round sign on your storefront, but another location requires the use of a rectangle sign, you can make adjustments to keep your circular brand recognizable while fitting it into the rectangular space.

Colors, however, should remain on-brand. This means using the same color palette across all your signs and not changing it up on each sign. The exception to this is signs that require the use of only a single color. There will often be times where your brand, logo, or sign cannot be represented in full color. Create a single-color version to use in these circumstances.
